Pasta With Pesto and Green Beans

entree
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, cut into 1" lengths, or 1 package frozen green beans (Whole Foods or Cascadian Farms work well)
  • 1/2 box penne, rotini, or such
  • 1 batch pesto OR 5 tbsp olive oil, a huge handful of fresh basil leaves and 2 cloves of garlic, chopped, with optional 3 tbsp pignoli
  • parmesan
  1. Cook pasta and green beans until al dente. Toss with the pesto. Top with Parmesan and a fresh basil sprig.
