Bruschetta
entree
- 1 nice ripe tomato
- 1 clove garlic, cut in half lengthwise
- 1-3 tbsp olive oil
- a big pinch of dried basil, or 5 leaves fresh, minced (or to taste)
- slices of French or Italian bread
- Dice the tomato and toss it in a bowl with the olive oil and basil.
- Toast the bread, and rub each slice with the flat side of the garlic.
- Spoon some of the tomato mixture on each slice.
