Granita di Limone

  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • lemon halves from the juiced lemons
  • 1 and 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  1. Stir the sugar and water until the sugar is dissolved. Add the lemon.
  2. Pour into a jar and put in the freezer.
  3. After 30 minutes, stir to break up the ice.
  4. Repeat every 20 minutes until it's slushy-frozen.
  5. Peel the pulp out of the lemon halfs, and cut a tiny bit off the end of each lemon so that they'll sit flat on a plate.
  6. Fill each half with granita, and serve.
